CEGA Congratulates John Mahama on Election Victory, Pledges Support for Ethical Governance

The Center for Ethical Governance and Administration (CEGA) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama and Vice President-elect Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang following their victory in the recent presidential elections.
In an open letter signed by its Executive Director, Prof. Ohene Adjei, CEGA praised John Mahama’s leadership qualities, vision, and humility, which it said had earned him the overwhelming endorsement of the Ghanaian people. The organization also described the victory as a testament to the credibility of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the party best suited to deliver effective governance.
“We are thrilled to see you take on this new role, and we are confident that your presidency will truly lead to the resetting of our devastated nation, bring about positive change, restore hope in Ghanaians, and result in sustained growth,” the letter stated.
CEGA expressed optimism about John Mahama’s commitment to ethical governance, the rule of law, and the fight against corruption, aligning with the organization’s core values. It specifically highlighted its support for the NDC’s flagship initiatives, including the “24-hour Economy Policy” and “Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL),” which it said had gained widespread public support.
The letter urged the President-elect to remain undeterred by detractors and to focus on fulfilling his campaign promises to sustain the confidence Ghanaians have placed in him. CEGA assured John Mahama and his team of its unwavering support as they assume office on January 7, 2025.

Dear Mr. President-elect, [Your Excellency John Dramani Mahama],
On behalf of the Center for Ethical Governance and Administration (CEGA), I wish to extend our warmest congratulations to you and Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman, on your overwhelming endorsement by Ghanaians as President-elect and Vice-President-elect of this great country of ours.
This unprecedented achievement is a testament to your leadership quality, vision, humility and sincerity demonstrated to the people of Ghana. It is also a testimony to the overwhelming acceptance of the great NDC as the most credible party that can deliver better governance.
We of the CEGA are thrilled to see you take on this new role, and we are confident that your presidency will truly lead to the resetting of our devastated nation, bring about a positive change, restore hope in Ghanaians and result in sustained growth path.
Your commitment to ethical governance, rule of law, and fight against corruption resonate deeply with CEGA.
