EC urges Political Parties to uphold Ghana’s Peace and Democracy
The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has called on all political parties in the country to upload the principles of a peaceful and transparent democracy, as deserving of all citizens.
The statement came after the Center for Democratic Development (CDD) released a report on a survey they conducted on how free and fair the Ghanaian electorate expect the December elections to be.
According to the report, 80% of the Ghanaian electorate, which forms a strong majority expect a completely free and fair elections with just some few minor problems.
The Commission says it is creating an enabling environment to allow voters to decide on who governs them.

“All the necessary logistics, training, check and balances have been put in place for the Elections to come on as scheduled on the 7th of December, 2020,” the statement noted.
The commission has thus called on all political parties to play their part in ensuring a free and fair polls in December.
