Christabel Kye launches charity Foundation
Filmmaker turned politician, Christabel Adomako Kye, who recently contested the Ablekuma Central parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Party (NDP) on Saturday, December 12, 2020 has launched the KYE PROMOTING LIFE FOUNDATION to support her charity work. This was less than a week after the elections which she lost.
The foundation is to cater for poor and needy children and also to help the aged in the society.
She said the foundation is in honour of the memory of her late father, Lawyer Alfred Kye, who was a pro bono lawyer and a philanthropist.
Ms Kye said, the biggest achievement in life for her is to give back to society just like her father, hence the decision to honour her late father’s wish to establish the Kye Promoting Life Foundation.

In light of that, she called on individuals, local and international organizations to contribute their quota to the success of the foundation in the form of clothes, shoes, books, bags, food, money among others.
In attendance at the launch of the foundation was the likes of Nana Baffuor, the Gyantua Hene of Wenchi, officials from the NDP, boxer and comedian Ayittey Powers, international footballer Kofi Ayew, filmmakers, Actors, friends from the military and police service, adopted family and friends and her own family, among others.
She described herself as someone with a big heart for all and sundry who wants to always see development in the lives of all and that was why she contested the seat of parliament.
