The Construction of a 1.2 kilometer road from the Denu junction through to the beach popularly called Swanzy Beach is currently under way.

The road which residents say was first constructed in 1989, has over the past 33 years seen no rehabilitation resulting in its total collapse as it has become a nuisance to the community seeing that the road is located in the heart of Denu, the municipal capital for Ketu South.

The Denu – Swanzy road is one that seeks to reduce traffic congestion on the Denu – Adefianu road especially on Denu Market days because it can serve as a ‘BY PASS’ through Hedranawo township to the R.C Mission when properly managed and directed to augment the single lane through Denu on market days.

In an interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh, the Ketu South Municipal Engineer, Kingsley Oduro, said the Denu – Swanzy stretch of the Beach road will be constructed in the shortest possible time to facilitate the easy flow of traffic especially on market days when there is huge human and vehicular activity as a result of the huge number of people who patronize the Denu market.
