Every Acre Of Marijuana Farm Can Give Us $1.2M-Group

A group calling itself Save the Nation for Future Leaders has reiterated the need to legalize the use of marijuana which is popularly known as wee.

The group was of the strong conviction that the “drug” would generate more revenue.

Marijuana, also known as ‘cannabis’, ‘wee’ or Indian hemp’, is widely used in Ghana, despite being banned.

The group said sales from marijuana would result in buoyant tax revenues which could run into billions of dollars when properly managed.

The group has since petitioned the presidency, parliament and other bodies.

President of the group Kojo Attah Apenkorang in an interview with Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm rubbished claims that smoking of the wee leads to mental instability.

He said Ghana will be able to end its constant borrowing to construct basic amenities should we legalize the use of marijuana.

He said for every acre of marijuana, we could get $1.2 million dollars in revenue.

He said Ghana could have also generated over $2.2 billion from marijuana farms destroyed in recent times.

He urged Ghanaians to support the call so we could have the substance legalize.
