Speaking at a free skills training workshop organized by HOSA, an affiliate of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award he urged young people to rise above the tides of the Covid 19 pandemic and build young enterprises.

The Executive Director of Head of State Awards Scheme, Ghana, Peter A. Anum has tasked young people to endeavor to acquire entrepreneurial skills in order to achieve their full potentials.

Speaking at a free skills training workshop organized by HOSA, an affiliate of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award he urged young people to rise above the tides of the Covid 19 pandemic and build young enterprises.

The two (2) day training held on march 24th and 25th 2022 in Accra saw over thirty (30) young men and women learn acquire skills in beading making, Sanitizer and Liquid soap manufacturing ,   T-Shirt printing, Pastries and Ice cream making . Participants also taken through lectures in financial Saving, investment and how to effectively markets their businesses on social media.

Executive Director of HoSA, Peter A. Anum said, the main objective of the skills training and summit is to equip vulnerable young people with entrepreneurial skills by way of job creation since they are the most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath in terms.

He appealed to all the beneficiaries to make good of the opportunity provided them so they can become financially independent to help themselves and their families.

Participants were awarded certificate for the successful completion of the training program.

The HoSA Ghana youth skills training and summit is in partnership with the Duke of Edinburgh International Award foundation and World Health Organization (WHO) under the Global Youth Mobilization initiative.

The Head of State Award scheme
Is opened to young people aged 14 – 24 to realize their ambitions and to change their world.
