Moisturise your skin to avoid cracks – Ghana Meteo cautions public as harmattan starts today

Ghana Meteorological Agency has advised the public to observe best personal hygiene practices and be environmentally cautious as the harmattan season commences today, ABC News can report.

The Ghana Meteorological Agency says the public should be mindful to keep their skin moist to avoid cracks and sores, whiles food vendors have been advised to properly cover their food and observe proper sanitary conditions.

In addition, the Ghana Meteorological Agency has cautioned the public to avoid naked fires or exposing highly inflammable items to fire as the weather conditions make it easy for fire outbreaks.

In a news release to alert Ghanaians of the onset of the harmattan season, the Ghana Meteorological Agency disclosed that Upper West and Upper East Regions will be the hardest hit in the first few days.
