Ghana, Czech Republic strengthen bilateral relationship in security
As part of the bilateral relationship between Ghana and the Czech Republic, the Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery hosted the Czech Republic Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Jan Fury at his office in Accra.
The meeting which was aimed at strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries, discussed collaboration in the areas of training and security.
Measures to improve services delivered by the security apparatus in the country was also explored.
The Minister said that Government is committed to ensuring peace and security in the country and will not be complacent. He added that Government will continue to put necessary measures in place to prevent any insecurity in the country.
Mr Ambrose Dery thanked the Ambassador for the visit and said the Czech Republic is a good partner and that Ghana and the Czech Republic have a long-standing relationship. He assured the Ambassador of his open-door policy for matters of interest and look forward to a good working relationship between them.
His Excellency the Ambassador also assured the Minister of his country’s commitment to partner with Ghana for a common good and for the benefit of the two countries.
