Former Minister predicts the return of ‘Dumsor’
Hon Justice said that the crisis might resurface again because the current government has not added significant to the country’s energy generation capacity even though the demand for electricity keeps on increasing significantly.
Former deputy Brong – Ahafo regional Minister Hon Justice Adjei, has warned that Ghana might soon return to the days of ” dumsor” if urgent steps are not taken by the government.
Hon Justice said that the crisis might resurface again because the current government has not added significant to the country’s energy generation capacity even though the demand for electricity keeps on increasing significantly.
The former Minister, who said this at a Youth conference in Dormaa East Constituency of the Bono region.
He Urged the government to put in measures to greatly increase Ghana’s generation capacity whithin the next two months to avert the looming power Crisis.
According to him, ECG is demanding 9 billion Ghana cedis to solve the energy situation but government is struggling to provide.
Deputy National Youth Organizer of the NDC Ruth Dela Seddoh on her part urged the youth to be committed to the party and she also encourage them to work hard.
