Collins Adomako-Mensah, an Afigya Kwabre North NPP Member of Parliament (MP), has backed up Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah- Bonsu’s assertion that the entire Majority Caucus now supports calls for the ouster of Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
A motion of censure was then filed against Mr. Ofori-Atta after the Minority in Parliament backed the 80 NPP MPs who had threatened to boycott government business if he wasn’t fired.
The NPP caucus has unanimously resolved that the President’s cousin must be removed from office, Hon. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said during a news conference on Thursday, November 3, 2022, while the vote of censure was still being conducted.

Hon. Collins Adomako-Boamah addressed this assertion on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show and asserted that what the Majority Leader is stating is accurate. He also revealed that the whole caucus has come to this consensus and informed the President that they no longer want Mr. Ofori-Atta.
He made it clear that the caucus has made up its mind and is not willing to change its mind.
“He is correct that there is now a majority opinion.
We all share the initial worry that eighty (80) Members of Parliament expressed.

There has been calls for President Akufo-Addo to dismiss Charles Adu Boahen and the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, from their positions by some members of the New Patriotic Party majority caucus in Parliament.
In a meeting with the NPP MPs, President Akufo-Addo urged them to examine the timing of their call and its potential effects on the IMF agreement, the creation of the 2023 Budget, and the approval of the Appropriations Bill.
