Pastor Godson writes: Understanding Christianity 

 

 

Christianity is about joining God’s own family and or becoming a member of the heavenly family on earth, where God Himself is the head.

Christianity is about “God in the flesh” – JESUS CHRIST, establishing His Kingdom for human beings on earth to fellowship with them.

The only criteria for whosoever wants to be a member of this family and become a citizen of this Kingdom of God is by choosing to be born by God Himself and this rebirth is legally enforced by your faith or believe in the Lord of the Kingdom, Lord Jesus Christ. This birth gives one the legal sonship of God and nothing else qualifies anybody; thousand times No! (John – 1:12-13).

The works of the law does not come in at all when it comes to becoming a child of God or gaining the righteousness of God. No! The Law and or the deeds of it has no hands in this transaction – (Galatians – 2:21).

According to Galatians – 2:16, There is not any other way; there is not any other criteria. Even the Jews have to have faith of Jesus Christ and or believe in Jesus Christ to be granted the sonship of God. To be granted the sonship of God one needs to first and foremost be justified.

And one can only be justified when and if he or she believes in Jesus Christ that He came for or because of him or her, understands what He came to do for him or her through His death on the cross, burial and His resurrection from the dead (which represents him or her).

In other words, one must believe that he or she was (1) in Jesus Christ on the cross where He was punished and died; (2) in Him during His burial, where He went to take back the keys of our righteousness for us; and (3) in Him when He resurrected with us victoriously, and then accept His Lordship over your life.

This believe; this birth and knowledge is what qualifies and counts you among the justified of God, makes you a legal child of God and gives you the legal right to have access into His Kingdom where He’s the King – (John – 3:3). Hallelujah!

The justified, who are the legitimate children of God by all standards are Christians.

So in essence,

1). Jesus Christ came to represent us in the payment of the disobedient dept we incurred or owe through Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. All were taken off from us and laid on Him on the cross. So you have no dept to pay again to become a child of God or to have God’s righteousness.

2). Jesus Christ came to take away or removed and or dealt with the curse which represented the punishment, when we (in Adam) disobeyed in the garden – (Genesis – 3:17-18).
Remember the crown of thorns that was hung on His head on the cross represented the curse of thorns and thistles that God pronounced in the garden on Adam.

3).Jesus Christ came to justified and acquitted us free of sin. No sin dept to be punished for again. You’re and I’m Freeeeee!!!!! He that the Son has made free is free indeed. Hallelujah!!

4). Jesus Christ came to give back to humanity the initial glory and righteousness that we (in Adam and Eve) sold to Satan through disobedience to God in the garden, and thereby declared us the righteous.

5). Jesus Christ came to do what the Law couldn’t do for humanity and then condemn sin for us, so we cannot be labelled sinners anymore. We’re free from the law of sin – (Romans – 8:2-3). “Can you imagine the dept, the hight, the width and the breath of love God has for us.

6). Jesus Christ came to give us sonship of God the Most High, through His love. This sonship is by legal right. It’s our right (exousia in Greek) in Jesus Christ. – (John – 1:12-13; I John – 3:1a & 2a). Note that this legal sonship is only in Jesus Christ than one can receive it and not outside Jesus.

7). Jesus Christ came to give us fellowship with the Father. Oh glory to God! I can now call on God the Father anytime and say, Abba Father, I’m just here to give you glory, honour and to adore you and to love you. Hahaaa!! What a privilege; what an unmerited right; what a love to be the son (child) of God!!

8). Jesus Christ came to give us life; life eternal; Everlasting life; the God kind of life. Wow!! God gave us; God planted in us through faith in Christ Jesus, His own life (John – 3:16).

9). Jesus Christ came to save the world and humanity. He came not to condemn but to save. For now He’s in the business of savings and not condemning yet. He is in the business of reconciliation, reconciling us back to the Father from whom we (in Adam) lost our glory, righteousness, relationship and fellowship in the garden.

10). Jesus Christ came to give us Kingship and Rulership. He came to make us Princes and Priests in His Kingdom. We the children of God are reigning with Him. We shall judge the world and judge angels as well. (I Corinthians – 6:2-3).

Finally, in regards to this submission, we are back to our Father in Jesus Christ. It’s only in Christ Jesus that you can gain and or receive the legal sonship of God. There’s no any other way. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” This is so true. Hallelujah!!.

This is what Christianity is all about. Any other thing is a secondary matter.
