Hon. Naa Odoley Sowah graces the inauguration of United Gadangme Caucus executives in La Dade-kotopon
The United Gadangme Caucus is working hard with strategic steps to improve the socioeconomic and political well being of the Gadangme people across the 275 constituencies in Ghana and abroad.
The clock is ticking towards the 2024 general elections and all political actors are anxiously taking advantage of gatherings to push their political agenda. The United Gadangme Caucus an umbrella association of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) can be described as a visible grassroot mobilization group of the Gadangme people to work towards the NDC’s victory in the upcoming general elections.
Hon. Naa Odoley Sowah, the Member of Parliament for the La Dade-kotopon Constituency in the Greater Region and a member of the NDC was a special guest at the inauguration ceremony of the La Dade-kotopon executives of the United Gadangme Caucus.
Proud to say that the honourable member of parliament for the constituency is also a Gadangme. She spoke fluent Ga to the gathering.
In her speech, she encouraged the Gadangme people to go out there and mobilise their family and friends to join hands in working towards victory 2024 in the general elections come December 7th. She advised the teaming supporters to eschew violence and politics of insults but rather to spread the good works of the NDC party while exposing the hardships brought on Ghanaians by the Nana Akufo Addo and his NPP government.
She cautioned the gathering not to be swayed by the little monies given by political opponents to buy their conscience. She encouraged them to accept the gifts of political opponents but vote for her and John Mahama.
Other speakers including Hon Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, Hon Nii Armah Ashietey, Hon T. T. Caternor took turn to energise the gathering with their presentations. Other leading members present were Hon Happy Ogboo MaCarthy, Hon Dorcas Naa Korklu Afotey, the Quarcoopome sisters, Prof Ago MacGranaky Quaye and a host of others.
The La Dade-kotopon executives of the United Gadangme Caucus were sworn into office by Nii Armah Addy who charged them to work hard to meet the minimum target of 5,000 Gadangme members before the 2024 elections. The 5,000 are supposed to be non card bearing members of the NDC to become card bearing members.
He cited example to other constituencies whose executives have hit over 1,000 members within a week of inauguration. He encouraged the La Dade-kotopon executives to do better.
