Thomas Partey, Amartey, Atsu makes Kwesi Appiah’s Team of the Decade

Ghana’s Kwesi Appiah has named familiar faces in his Team of the Decade.

As the 2010s come towards their end, several players and clubs have picked the best XI of players to have starred over the past decade.

The 29-year-old, who plays for English League One side AFC Wimbledon, was not left out as he named his team which was dominated by players from his native country, Ghana.

Appiah chose 21-year-old Aaron Ramsdale as the man between the sticks and will be guarded in defense by Daniel Amartey (Leicester City), Jonathan Mensah (Columbus Crew), Nathan Ake (AFC Bournemouth) and Jeffrey Schlupp (Crystal Palace).

Appiah’s midfield line-up includes Nathan Chalobah (Watford), Thomas Partey (Atletico Madrid), with Christian Atsu of Newcastle United playing the trequartista role.

His forward’s are Yannick Bolasie (Sporting CP), Wilfred Zaha (Crystal Palace) with Ghana’s all-time leading scorer Asamoah Gyan, who now plays for Indian Super League side NorthEast United FC, spear-heading the attack in a 4-2-1-3 formation.
