Bawumia commissions third FATS at Duayaw Nkwanta
‘Despite the successes chalked by the service, a lot more has to be done to protect lives and properties and government is ever committed to supporting the service to realize its vision and mandate. On this score, we would pat the entire council and their management and board on their shoulders and I strongly urge them to intensify their pragmatic and tailor-made public fire prevention to greatly reduce the rate of fire outbreaks in the country.”
Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, on March 26, 2024, commissioned the Fire Service Academy and Training School (FATS) at Duayaw Nkwanta in the Ahafo Region of Ghana.
