Mustapha Ussif Adjudged Best African Sports Minister

Ghana’s Minister for Youth and Sports of Ghana, Mustapha Ussif, has been adjudged the Best African Sports Minister in the Africa Sports & Tourism Awards.
The event was held in Abuja, Nigeria, on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
In a statement, the Ministry said the award is a “testament to Hon. Ussif’s exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment, and remarkable contributions to the advancement of the Youth and Sports sectors within Ghana and across the African continent”.
“Under his visionary guidance. These endeavours showcased our nation’s athletic prowess and positioned Accra as the revered African City of Sports.”
According to the Ministry, the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of the Minister have enhanced Ghana’s sporting landscape and reinforced the impact of sports as a catalyst for socio-economic development.
It added, “The Ministry extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Hon. Minister for this well-deserved recognition and expresses deep gratitude for his steadfast commitment to advancing the youth and sports agenda in Ghana and beyond.”
The Ministry further reaffirmed its unwavering commitment towards the development of youth and Sports.
Mustapha Ussif was appointed the Minister for Sports in 2021.
