The Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West Constituency, Rev. Kweku Addo, has held a meeting with all Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) applicants, during which he outlined his seven thematic actionable plans for his first term in office.
At the meeting, Rev. Dr. Addo presented key initiatives aimed at fostering development in the constituency, including:

- Youth Training Programs – Equipping the youth with employable skills to combat unemployment.
- Sanitation and Neighborhood Watch Guards – Promoting cleanliness and improving security in the constituency.
- Town Beautification Project – Enhancing the aesthetics and overall livability of the community.
- Adult Center Construction – Creating a recreational and resource hub for the elderly.
- Storm Drain Construction – Addressing persistent flooding challenges in the area.
- Completion of the Sea Defense Project – Protecting the coastal community from erosion and flooding.

Rev. Dr. Addo emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among the MCE applicants, urging them to view one another as worthy competitors. A total of 17 party loyalists, including three women, have applied for the MCE position. This sparked discussions on the need to promote women’s participation in politics and to empower more women to assume leadership roles.
Hon. Francis Hayibor, the constituency secretary, outlined the vetting process during the engagement, encouraging applicants to give their best effort.
Hon. Mrs. Diana Twum, a former parliamentary candidate and prominent party stalwart, commended Rev. Dr. Addo for his dedication to unity and inclusion within the party, praising his leadership efforts in bringing stakeholders together for the constituency’s development.
