Executive Committee of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Greater Accra Region has quashed the suspension of Ibrahim Musa, Chairman of the party for the Okaikoi Central Constituency.
A statement issued and signed by the Regional Chairman, Kobina Ade Coker asked the Okaikoi Central Constituency (OKC) Chairman to continue with his work for the party.
“We refer to your letter dated 29th June, 2020 in respect of the suspension of the Constituency Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Musa, and to inform you that the Regional Executive Committee has quashed the said suspension due to breach of Article 46 (2) of the Party’s Constitution,” the statement said.
The Disciplinary Committee (DC) of the party in the Okaikoi Central Constituency, suspended its Chairman for allegedly “breaching Article 47 (1) (c), (d) and Article 45(i) of the NDC Constitution.
“You are to hand over any party property in your possession to your immediate Vice Chairman especially the Mahindra car by 31st July, 2020 at the Constituency Party’s office at 5pm (even if the car will be towed, and the cost will be borne by the Constituency Office after delivery,” the statement signed by Secretary to the Disciplinary Committee (DC), Anatu Anne Seidu Bogobiri Esq. said.
The suspension follows a petition brought before the Disciplinary Committee of the party by Yussif Ibrahim, Youth Organiser of the World Wide Branch, Olengele Kono Ward in which Musa also known as Chairman Aval is said to have reported the Parliamentary Candidate, Adbul Rashid Issah to the Police leading to his invitation over frivolous allegations.
