Adjorkor is Dead: Killed by Ghana’s Military

Adjorkor suffered head injuries with Nii Ayikwei Okine of Citi TV and several others when the Ghana Armed Forces unleashed Armed Landguards in Ghana Army uniform on a group of unarmed journalists and citizens of La on 15th April, 2021 at Kpletso near Burma Camp.

Ghanaians have been asking the following questions;

  1. Who ordered the deployment of soldiers who participated in the Assault and shooting of live bullets at Kpletso on 15th April, 2021?

  1. Where is the Report on the investigation promised by the Military High Command into the Assault and shooting of live bullets at Kpletso on 15th April, 2021?

The Lands Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor claimed to have written to the Defence Minister, Dominic Nititul, to stop the military from further construction works at the disputed Kpletso land which was being forcibly taken over at gunpoint in the name of the Military, and is still being developed…

…IN DEFIANCE OF THE CLAIM BY THE LANDS MINISTER THAT HE HAS ISSUED A STOP WORK ORDER…

Strangely, the management of Citi FM and Citi TV was not interested in pursuing Nii Ayikwei Okine’s assault by the Ghana Army even as he returned to the station with head wounds…

Citi FM and Citi TV did not report to the Police nor the toothless National Media Commission as it did in the Caleb Kudah-National Security case…

The National Media Commission refused to investigate the assault on journalists at Kpletso by the Ghana Army when they were eventually Petitioned by the Coalition of La Associations who invited the media to Kpletso at the instance of the La Traditional Council; where the Military fired live bullets and assaulted them in the presence of DCOP Kwesi Ofori and several senior police officers…

The Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Army have refused to comment nor make public any investigations conducted into the 15th April, 2021 assault and shooting which paved the way for the impunity at EJURA and WA by the Military…

The Executive Instrument signed by President Akufo Addo to turn the Achimota Forest into private property is only rivalled by his 2020 Executive Instrument handing over the entire Songhor Lagoon and Salt mining to McDan.
