The long-awaited telenovela “Chandra Nandini” is set to premiere on Atinka TV on August 3, 2020. It will be accompanied by a weekly Chartroom show to be hosted by ever budding Afia Kwarteng.
The telenovela, which will telecast from Monday to Friday of every week will climax with a chartroom show on Fridays. There will also be an extended version (omnibus) on Sundays.
The Host
The Chartroom which is expected to be lively and very entertaining will be hosted by versatile Afia Kwarteng Asamani. She is a newscaster on Atinka FM and Atinka TV. She is also the Parliamentary correspondent for the entire Atinka Media Village (AMV).

Afia Kwarteng holds a degree in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GJA). Afia is married with two kids.
“Chandra Nandini”
The Indian soap opera, which has been translated into twi for the Ghanaian audience, is a story full of intrigues of love, marriage, friendship and relationships, diplomacy, War, among others.
Chandra Nandini tells the story of Chandragupta Maurya, the founder of the Mauryan Empire, a great warrior and ruler, known for uniting the Indian sub-continent.
However, the show focuses on his love story with a princess named Nandni.
An invitation comes from Magadh for a festival. When they got there, Queen Avantika of Magadh was cheating on her husband with a barber named Nanda.
When Suryagupta finds out about Avantica, that led to the death of Avantica’s husband.
Moora gives birth to a boy, but fate separates them.
However, a woman named Kanika finds Moora’s son in the cattle pound and named him Chandra and adopted him without knowing his real identity.
What has fate got in store for all of them?
