Agbogbloshie market fire victims cry for help

Victims of the fire outbreak at Agbogbloshie market in Accra last Sunday are still counting their loss. When Radio Ghana visited the area to ascertain the aftermath of the fire which razed down several buildings, victims were seen pondering over how to start life again after their property running into thousands of cedis were destroyed.

They told Radio Ghana that they are awaiting relief promised them by NADMO.

The Agbogbloshie Bimbilla lorry station experienced a fire outbreak on January 6th, 2020, destroying properties worth millions of cedis.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the fire, which involved several wooden structures, started at 12:15pm and was responded to by the service at 12:28pm.

The Service also reported that although no casualty was recorded, it took five fire appliances to bring the fire under control at 16:43hrs.
