Agona Swedru: Angry Youth plan Demonstration over Bad Roads.
Some youths in Agona Swedru are planning to embark on a demonstration against the government over the sad state of roads in the district.
The demonstration earmarked to incite authorities to take action in fixing the bad roads in the area has been slated for November 6, 2019.
The organizers of the movement, the Concerned Youth of Agona Swedru (COYAG) told ghananewsonline.com.gh in an interview that the people of Swedru have endured these bad roads for years in spite of all the promises by successive governments to fix them. The group is thus hopeful that the demonstration will force the government to take action immediately.
Some comments by residents in the area on social media and monitored by ghananewsonline.com.gh have indicated that, Swedru has been unfairly treated when compared to other vicinities in terms of developmental projects; their road networks being prime example.
The concerned youth have asserted that, with the impending demonstration, they hope to catch the attention of authorities to push them to repair the bad roads immediately.
