Airtel Nigeria secures three telecom licences

The fibre service unit of Airtel Nigeria, Airtel Nigeria Telesonic Limited, has been awarded three telecom licenses.

According to the latest market updates released on Friday by the Nigerian Communications Commission, the network operator was granted a National Long Distance license, an Internet Service Provider license, and a Sales & Installation Major license.

The National Long Distance license, which is valid for 20 years, will cover the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2044.

Meanwhile, both the Internet Service Provider and Sales & Installation Major licenses have a validity of five years, running from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2029, Technology Times reports.
