Akaba Royal Family inducts Sub-Chief and Council of Elders

"This is the time for all members of the Akaba Royal Family both home and abroad to come together to brainstorm and re-structure to reclaim what rightfully belongs to us - even as we put our shoulders to the wheel to work in rebuilding Anyako," Torgbi Akaba VII stated

The Akaba Royal Family of Anyako has inducted into office a sub-chief, Torgbivi Akaba, and a 30 member council of elders who will steer the affairs of the family and assist Torgbi Akaba VII, Adotri Fiaga of Anyako, in the delivery of his mandate.

Speaking at the induction ceremony held at the royal family house at Anyako-Abormey in the Keta Municipality of the Volta region, Torgbi Akaba VII, underscored the importance of unity, togetherness and fellow-feeling in the communities.

According to him, the old adage “In unity lies Strength” still holds because it was only through a united front that a people can attain their common and desired aspirations.

He said it was time the Akaba Royal Family pulled together to reclaim what rightfully belonged to it even as they work hard in rebuilding Anyako.

“This is the time for all members of the Akaba Royal Family both home and abroad to come together to brainstorm and re-structure to reclaim what rightfully belongs to us – even as we put our shoulders to the wheel to work in rebuilding Anyako,” Torgbi Akaba VII stated.

The Adotri Fiaga said his doors were always opened for any well-meaning individuals who had ideas for the rebuilding of Anyako and restoring the town to it’s past glory.

“I invite all members of the family and indeed all citizens of Anyako to join efforts aimed at rebuilding this community and to give it back it’s past glory,” he said.

Torgbi Akaba VII pledged his support to the newly inducted council of elders and Torgbivi Akaba (Richard Kofi Xadza ) to enable them deliver on their mandate.
