The Running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has described the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government’s performance as abysmal and called on Ghanaians to vote for change.

She urged supporters and sympathizers of the ruling NPP to look beyond their partisan affiliations, be sincere about the dire state of Ghana’s economy, and exercise a vote of no confidence in the government by voting them out on December 7.

“A political party is not like a family that bonds you by blood. You are free to change parties and vote for one that can truly improve your livelihood and develop the nation,” she advised.

The former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast urged Ghanaians to make an informed choice based on the current state of the economy and its impact on their lives and businesses. She emphasized that Ghanaians must derive value from their votes for national development and reject ruling parties that fail to fulfil their mandate. She encouraged citizens to make the right decision by voting for the NDC to guarantee the country’s safety and progress.

Regarding vote-buying, she advised voters to take whatever gifts and money the NPP is distributing to sway their votes and still vote against them.

She noted that it is time for Ghanaians to unite against poverty, underdevelopment, and deceit, assuring that former President John Mahama is a trustworthy leader with the experience to navigate the country out of the hardships created by the NPP government’s mismanagement.

She said all attempts by the NPP government to discredit the NDC flagbearer have failed, as it is now clear to Ghanaians who the corrupt and incompetent individuals are.

The NDC running mate appealed for the support of all, especially traders, to enable the NDC’s return to power, reset the country, and build the ‘Ghana we want together.’

“We have done it before, so when we say we shall do this and that, we know what we are talking about because we know how to do it better for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” she assured.
