The envoys are H. E. Mr. William Anani-Abotsi, High-Commissioner-designate of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and H. E. Mr. Bonaventure Adjavon, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic of Zimbabwe.

In his address, President Akufo-Addo extended his heartfelt congratulations to the envoys who have risen through the ranks of their career as Foreign Service Officers to this office of elevation.

He stated that, the envoys had been chosen to represent the interest of Ghana and the diaspora for how well they have conducted themselves in the service of Ghana and thus deserving of their appointments.

He charged them to continue to uphold the excellent reputation that Ghanaians have earned among the international community, indicating that they should take advantage of their new positions to deepen the ties of cooperation with their countries of accreditation.

Additionally, the President encouraged them to attract investments into the country and become strong advocates for Ghana and Ghanaians in the diaspora.

On behalf of the newly commissioned envoys, H. E. Mr. William Anani-Abotsi, extended their heartfelt gratitude to the President of the Republic for the opportunity and the confidence entrusted in them to further serve the country in this high office.

He expressed their readiness to use their expertise and experience to promote the good image of Ghana and enhance the already existing relationships between the country and their host countries. They pledged to work hard to impact all sectors of the economy.

Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong, senior government officials from the of the Foreign Ministry and other Ministries, the clergy, as well as the friends and families. Of the envoys.
