Akufo-Addo Government won’t be distracted by Mahama’s reckless comments – Asabee
According to him, Mahama has been making ‘unguarded’ statements aimed at scaring investors and drawing the country back
One of the leading members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Stephen Asamoah Boateng (Asabee) who is aspiring to be the party’s next National Chairman, has said that former President John Mahama should not think that the NPP will sit aloof and allow him and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) take the country for ransom.
According to him, Mahama has been making ‘unguarded’ statements aimed at scaring investors and drawing the country back but the President Akufo-Addo led administration which is focused on its agenda and would not be distracted.
“The NDC elements led by Mr. Mahama do not have the development of this country at heart that is why they are always wishing for trouble for the country. We in the NPP, will never take the bait.
“We shall rather focus on our work to deliver the mandate Ghanaians have given us. We shall not be distracted in any way whatsoever,” Asabee stated.
Stephen Asamoah Boateng is currently the Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA).
