Akufo-Addo has Sold All Aviation Lands to Sir John’s Charles Owusu at GHC 55,000

-Confirms Rebecca Akufo’s Land Grab.

Whatsup News has seen explosive documents from the Lands Commission (LC) exposing President Akufo-Addo for giving to one Charles Owusu a staggering 614 acres from popular state-owned lands called the Aviation Lands enclave in Adenta-Accra.

This revelation reinforces the reasons why First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo was reportedly able to easily grab sizeable portions of the prime state lands for her private foundation-the Rebecca Foundation.

The lease agreement intercepted by Whatsup News reveals a ridiculous amount of GHC 55,000 that that prime land was leased to Charles Owusu, a spokesperson for Dr. Paa Kwasi Nduom’s Progressive People’s Party (PPP).

The intercepted lease agreement dated April 15, 2021, and referenced ARLC/782/09/2021 between President Akufo-Addo as the lessor of the land and Charles Owusu was authorized by Stephen Ayesu Ntim, the Chairman of the Lands Commission and an aspirant to the National Chairmanship position of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The document reads: “The Lessor (President Akufo-Addo) with the intention of developing the area into a Central Business District…the Lessor has offered and the Lessee (bonafide purchaser for value) has accepted to take lease of ALL THAT piece of land [614 acres] described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as “the demised premises”) subject to the terms and condition herein contained.”

The document goes on to reveal that Mr. Owusu would pay GHC 55,000 for the said land.

Incidentally, Charles Owusu was the former Head of the Monitoring Unit of the Forestry Commission that the late Forestry Commission boss, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (Sir John) had appointed as a crony to systematically steal state lands, including the Achimota Forest reserve for their personal use.

In his recently leaked Will, Sir John clearly confirmed his land-grabbing activities with Charles Owusu, particularly when he stated that the Achimota land and the Sakumono Ramsar land which he jointly owned with Charles Owusu should be given to his nieces and nephews.

“I jointly own a piece of land at Achimota Forest with Charles Owusu. Upon my demise, my portion of the said land should be given to Ruth Korkor Odonkor,” Sir John Stated in a portion of the controversial will.

In the past few weeks, revelations from Sir John’s will and other snippets of information have confirmed long-held speculations that almost all state lands in Ghana have been criminally shared by cronies and appointees of the Akufo Addo administration.

Indeed, this was unequivocally confirmed by the maverick NPP Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, who revealed in a widely circulated interview that courtesy of Stephen Ntim, NPP members had completely stolen all the aviation lands and that he refused to participate when the land was offered him.

Insiders tell Whatsup News that the Akufo-Addo administration is using one Clemence Gyato, a notorious “Land guard” to enforce its stealing of state lands for individuals in the governing party.

It was the same Clemence Gyato who audaciously recently attempted to appropriate lands allocated to the Bulgarian and Nigerian Embassies in Accra.

Meanwhile, investigations reveal that the Aviation land which was specifically set up in 1968 for sensitive aviation installations of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) was commercialized prompting a mad rush to steal the lands by members of the previous administrations.

When the Akufo-Addo administration assumed power in 2017, it pretended to halt the crazed land-grabbing, when the then-Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, John Peter Amewu announced the government’s intention to sanitise the greedy grabbing of the land.

Unbeknownst to the public, the move was simply a smokescreen to edge out individuals believed to be associated with the previous administrations and pass the lands on to members of the current Akufo-Addo administration, including the President and his close family and friends.
