Akufo-Addo is the panacea to Ghana’s Long Term Leadership deficit – Ali Suraj

The failed New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Asutifi South Constituency in the Ahafo Region, Alhaji Ali Suraj, has observed that President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo is the panacea to Ghana’s leadership deficit. This was after he had tracked Akufo-Addo’s leadership path over the years and from a proximate vantage point.

He indicated in a interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh that what jumps at any such observer is his unwavering, principled patriotism and an incurable conviction that Ghana can and must achieve much more than what it hitherto has managed.

“Fortunately, he is practical visionary and believer in the market economy who is committed to a world where access to the tools of wealth is not determined by the circumstances of one’s birth. The President is a believer of Ghana’s capacity to overcome all the challenges which comes its way.

“This has led to building a platform for all, the programme of building a society of opportunities and aspirations for all. That is why he sees the priorities to be about providing universal access to quality education and health, employable, modern skills and decent jobs in an economy retooled for industrialisation and value-addition,” he stated.

Ali Suraj further expained that Akufo-Addo’s personal commitment to the country, evidence over decades, is what defines his personal vision for the future. His belief in Ghana has proven true for 35 years. Whether in fighting against dictatorship, or defending the rights of his clients in court, or organising his party or promoting Ghana’s interest abroad, what you find is an unbreakable running thread of a patriot who is driven by a commitment to see his people and country succeed.

The former Deputy organiser of the USA branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party stressed that the outbreak of the novel coronavirus has yet again given vent to Nana Akufo-Addo’s pragmatic, excellent and hope inspiring leadership.

Through his five addresses to the Nation updating the Ghanaian populace on the measures government is putting in place to contain the spread and totally annihilating the virus, the President has yet again rejuvenated hopes, and reinvigorated optimism and the ‘can do spirit of the Blackman’.

The President has been extolled all over the world for his yeoman’s job, for inspiring confidence in the Ghanaian people and the world’s citizens in our relentless efforts to finding solutions to this pandemic.

He l advised Ghanaians to strictly observe the precautionary measures outlined by health expects and also come together to propose solutions to curb this pandemic which is holding the world to ransom.

“As Ghanaians, the onus lies on us to complement the President’s efforts by strictly adhering to all precautionary measures as enshrined by recognized health institutions; including WHO and the Ghana health service. This is the right time to suspend all our political, religious and other differences and face this virus with a united front. Viewing this pestilence with partisan lenses, trying to gain advantage by downplaying and disregarding the presidential directives is the biggest disservice one can do to himself and his nation. To this end, one wouldn’t be far from right if he labels or declares anybody who politicize this turbulent times as an enemy to Ghana”.
