AKUFO-ADDO: You didn’t say anything when Jean Mensah stated that my writing is a figment of my imagination – An Owula Mangortey observation

I am a Citizen.

I have respect for the Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. General Obed Akwa and other serious serious professionals in the Security and Intelligence community.

I am aware that town no good as it is said in twi.

I am aware of the tense moments within the Military, Security and Intelligence community.

Accordingly, on any ordinary day, I will not report on an ongoing Operation of the Security Agencies because of its implications for stability and peace of this country.

However, my INTEGRITY as a Writer has been questioned by Mrs Jean Adukwei Mensah, the Electoral Commissioner of Ghana

On 26th of January, 2020, Mrs Jean Adukwei Mensah, placed my hard won reputation on the line by statiing that my writing is “a figment of my imagination.”

There were discussions , commentaries and smear campaigns waged on my character on mainstream media and alternative (social) media.

I am so surprised that as soon as I threw some few jabs in rejoinders to the EC Chair, I am receiving all manner of calls from “well meaning” Senior Citizens for a ceasefire.

Curiously, I did not hear the father- for- all, President Akufo-Addo or any Elders in the nation speak up pubicly to admonish the Electoral Commissioner to be circumspect in her reactions to a Citizen of Ghana.

Accordingly, I wish to paddle my own integrity canoe by producing a report from the FIGMENT OF MY IMAGINATION on a Security Services operation in the Volta and Oti Regions tagged OPERATION CONQUERED FIST for the attention of President Akufo-Addo and the Electoral Commission Chair, Jean Adukwei Mensah:

(1). OPERATION CONQUERED FIST activated on 21st January, 2020.

(2). It is on-going in the Volta and Oti Regions.

(3). Troops made up of six (6) OFFICERS and one hundred and four (104) OTHER RANKS (ORs).

(4). Composition: One (1) Officer and thirty (30) ORs from 5Bn; and the rest from 66 Artillery Regiment

(5). OPS aim is to flush out and arrest Western Togoland Secessionist Group Members and other Terrorists activities in the regions.

(6). OPS HQ is Fidome.

(7). Field OPS position is Wli Todzi.

(8). Flashback, 21st December, 2019, a Unit with the Anti- terrorism unit of the Ghana Police, INTERPOL and Togo Army traced a lease to arrest the Commander of the Secessionist Group Army Command at Wli Todzi area at the mother’s funeral but he escaped.

(9). On 23rd night of January, 2020, through foot patrol, team located training camp of the group.

(10). National Security Team quickly invited. Colonel Opoku and twenty (20) Personnels invaded the training area.

(11). No member of Secessionist Group was found.

(12). Some Intel was picked and movements made towards Nkwanta general area but checks confirmed it was a meeting to be addressed by Energy Minister Peter Amewu

(13). Flashback, some guys were picked up on 21st December, 2019; but 66 Artillery handed them over to the Anti- terrorism Police from Police HQ Accra.

(14). Morale boosted with arrival of GOC Southern Command, here today and tomorrow.

(15). Part of OPs is to conduct both foot and mobile patrol along the borders.

Mr President, a report from THE FIGMENT OF MY IMAGINATION respectfully submitted, please.
