Four (4) more for Nana to do more has recently surfaced to be the slogan for the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP and the minister for Sanitation and water Resources, Hon. Ceceilia Abena Dapaah has added her voice to the slogan and appealed to Ghanaians to consider the slogan and traet it well.

According to her, the Akufo-Addo led NPP government has eradicated cases of Cholera in the country due to the pragmatic measures of managing the sanitation.

“Have you heard of cholera in Ghana since Nana Addo became president? We are doing comprehensive education in schools. Everyday i tell you i want actions more than words. As i speak to you we have reduced open defecation drastically. In 2016 406 communities were out of open defecation but now 5,498 communities which covers over 800,000 are out of open defecation menace.” – Hon. Ceceilia Dapaah said

Hon. Ceceilia Abena Dapaah revealed this to Radio 1 100.7fm reporter, Obido Nana Gyasi at the Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly when she honored the program as the special guest for the Assembly’s swearing in of the newly assembly members.

She added that it is purely based on good management of the sanitation which has helped in achieving that feat.

Hon. Dapaah added that sanitation is not only about the solid wastes but include liquid wastes and there is the need to manage them very well.

When asked about her resolutions, she again said she has no personal resolutions but her resolution is to see the assemblies working in a sane environment.

“i have no resolution. My resolution is to see the assemblies working. You know my ministry is a supervisory, policy generation ministry so my resolution is ‘God should give us life’ to work for mother Ghana”- She added.

The able sanitation minister therefore called on all Ghanaians to be inclusive in making the environment clean.
