Akyem Boamaa gets a new Enkosuo Hene

The Chief and Elders of Akyem Boamaa – a farming community in the Atiwa West District of the Eastern Region last Wednesday outdoored Nana Dauda Issah I as the new Chief in-charge of Development (Enkosou Hene) of the community.

The ceremony which was supervised by Barima Ampoffo Owiredu II, the Chief of Akyem Boamaa was held at the Chief Palace. It saw the presence of the traditional authorities from surrounding the communities and the residents cheering the the newly installed Enkosou Hene over his new potfolio.

Barima Ampoffo Owiredu II charged Dauda Issah as he is known in private life to urgently develop strategies to fast truck the development of the community.

“We assure you of our readiness as Nananom to break all odds to support you in all your endeavors to see our community to be one of the best communities in the Akyem Kingdom,” Barima Ampoffo Owiredu II stated.

In an interview with ghananewsonline.com.gh the new chief expressed his gratitude to Barima Ampoffo Owiredu II and his elders for entrusting him with such a sensitive position. He promised to deliver his duty with diligence and determination to spearhead the development of the community as expected of him by all well-meaning citizens.

“Education is one of my priorities and I will work with all stakeholders to see our education sector develop as we  poise to produce graduates who would also contribute their quota towards the development of the community and the country at large,” he stated.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a private mining company (name withheld) ceased the opportunity to apply to the telecommunication networks to come to the aid of the community because they are struggling with network related issues.
