Alhaji Suraj commends President Akufo-Addo for good Economic Policies

Alhaji Ali Suraj, a businessman, politician and an indigene of the zongo community has praised the Akufo-Addo led-government for ‘bringing the economy back to life’.

Alhaji Suraj, who was seen sharing relief items to ease the sufferings occasioned by the partial lockdown in some Zongo communities in the Greater Accra and the Greater Kumasi metropolis credited the Akufo-Addo government for its benevolence policies.

According to Ali Suraj, his donations were made possible by kind courtesy of the good policies the President has initiated and implemented, policies that are making the country business-friendly and rejuvenating the economy. In an interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh, Alhaji Suraj explained that, the policies initiated by this government has caused businesses to thrive and flourish.

“The Akufo-Addo led-government has recuperated and stabilized the sick economy bequeathed by the John Mahama erstwhile administration. The implementation of feasible and pragmatic policies to assist businesses and help the economy to grow has yielded positive results. Our economy is one of the fastest growing economy in the world. As a bonafide member of the zongo community, I deem it appropriate to assist my people in this difficult times before extending help to other sections of the country,” Alhaji Suraj stated.

The relief items distributed included 1,000 bags of rice, 20,000 alcohol-based hand sanitizers, 100 pieces of Veronica buckets, 3,000 pieces of face masks and 2,000 pieces of 2 liters bottles of cooking oil shared in some zongo communities in Accra, Kumasi and the Asutifi South Constituency.

The businessman cum politician also took the responsibility of feeding 100 households in the Asokore Mampong Municipal assembly where he hails from throughout the lockdown period, he also led a Chinese delegation to make a donation of food items to the office of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.

He made a passionate call to all Ghanaians to strictly adhere to all precautionary protocols to help contain the spread of the deadly virus. He also used the opportunity to commend the President for appointing many Zongo people in his government. He pleaded with the President to do even more in his next tenure.

“On behalf of all Zongo people, Imams, and chiefs I wish to thank the President for including Zongos in his government, Thank you Nana”.
