Amankwa Mireku urges Hearts management to sign experienced players
Former Hearts of Oak captain, Amankwa Mireku has called on management of the club to sign experienced players to help rescue the team’s season.
The Phobians have had a terrible start to the campaign after two defeats in their opening two games of the season.
Last Sunday, the 20-time Ghana Premier League champions were embarrassingly battered by Medeama SC at the Akoon Park to mount pressure on the club’s management.
“The management of Hearts of Oak should bring on more experienced players because the performance of some players is below average,” Mireku told Kumasi based OTEC Fm.
“The team needs intelligent players who can implement, create something, think fast and solve the problem on the field of play,” he added.
The Phobians poor started to the season has seen them sack coach Kim Grant, with Edward Nii Odoom acting as interim gaffer.
Hearts will next host Ebusua Dwarfs on match day 3 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.
