AMBUSH IN NIGHT – THROUGH POLITICAL STRATEGY THEY KEEP US HUNGRY

Bob Nesta Marley said, ”See them fighting for power. But they know not the hour. So they bringing with their guns, spare parts and money trying to belittle our integrity now”. This is the strategy adopted by the failed Npp administration to daze Ghanaians.

One of the huge problems with our politics right now, is that President Akufo-Addo and his team are making decisions with one objective in mind, to retain power. They have become beholden to press, and popularity instead of principle because of that strong desire to retain power through every means necessary. They are more concerned with who wins the election than they do about what is right and appropriate. This primitive agenda is paralysing, polarising and antagonizing our great nation.

Bob said, ”they say what we know, is just what they teach us. And we are so ignorant- cause every time they can reach us through political strategy. They keep us hungry and when you gonna get some food, your brother got to be your enemy- Ambush in the night!

Most of the notorious acts that were ever committed in the Bible were executed by the power hungry souls. Those who were trying to to gain or retain power. Herod, killed innocent souls. Herod slay all the children that were in Bethlehem from two years old and under because his power felt threatened. Maintaining power was so crucial and important to him but how the parents of his victims meant nothing to him.

Jesus who preached peace, healed the sick, lame and diseased became the target of the wicked Sanhedrin. Why? Jesus was gaining influence and they were losing theirs. They wanted to hold on to power and popularity so badly that they violated common sense , lied, and were accessories to the death of the Son of God. Even Pilate recognized it was for envy ( Mark 15:10).

What are seeing in Ghana now under President Akufo-Addo? Inciting the public against John Mahama who used four years to transform Ghana- built schools, hospitals, renovated our ports and built more, roads. Mr Mahama whose investment in the gas and oil sector led to positive projections the IMF etc made, the Mahama who made Ghana the best place for doing business in West Africa, the man who gave us Atuabo gas which is saving Ghana Ghc 500 million annually, who built cold stores for our farmers, distributed free fertilizer and hybrid seedlings to our farmers, established the YES concept, the railways, the Ayalolo buses, supported some pharmaceutical companies to expand their businesses and increase production.

The rate of poverty under the current administration is very high. Invariably, poverty, under the current administration continue to sour. The President does not listen to anybody. He doesn’t care. You can say what you want, write what you want, the President doesn’t care. It is all about how to maintain power. The sacred truth is that Akufo-Addo has established a record of failures which probably no other President would ever equal or erase.

Bob said, We’re not ignorant, I mean it and they just cannot touch us. Through the powers of the Most High. We keep on surficin. Through the powers of the Most High we keep on surviving.

We need to wake up. We need to elect individuals who are driven by principle, not power. We need to get them out of there and put the achievers in their place who are principle driven not power driven. We don’t need a Pilate like President, Sanhedrin like the presidency and Herod like the legislature.

During his campaign, President Akufo-Addo made a lot of promises. His party promised Ghanaians change. Some Ghanaians who fell for their tricks decided to try the change .

– He promised to reduce prices of fuel

– 350 new secondary schools

-Will increase minimum wage and create millions of jobs. Over 50 thousand Ghanaians including bankers, port workers etc have lost their jobs under this administration

-He will weed out corruption- he is rated the most corrupt president in the history of Ghana and his administration is the most corrupt administration in the history of Ghana. Transparency International confirmed the prevailing situation in its 2017/18 perception index report.

– He will stabilise the Cedi. The CEDI’s depreciation under this administration is unprecedented.

– What about his family and friends government crusade? He is rated the most nepotistic President in the history of Ghana

– What about the $1 million to every constituency annually.?

– What about his one district one factory promise?

– He promised Ghanaians that borrowing will end when he takes over. Within three years, his administration has added over Ghc 80 billon to our debt stock.

– He told us he will operate a lean government. But appointed over 100 ministers and over 1000 staffers and aides unprecedented in our political history.

– Our kids will enjoy free chocolate everyday.

– What about the dams

-What about the insecurity in the country vis-à-vis what candidate Akufo-Addo promised Ghanaians. Children being kidnapped, journalists being maimed and killed, party officials being killed etc etc.

Lying has become normalised under the current administration. So I ask, what is the future of honesty? We are told from childhood that it is wrong and evil to lie, but every day under the current administration, we see evidence that not telling the truth is the way to achieve power and success. The political, financial and personal havoc and pain created by these lies is immeasurable, yet nothing seems to stop them.

Here comes the conman
Coming with his con plan
We won’t take no bribe
We’ve got to stay alive!
