Felicia Amponsah Yeboah of UG crowned Miss International Ghana 2020

Miss International Ghana is an initiative of Alpha Promotions. It is designed to redefine beauty as a vehicle of transforming the lives of street children.

Felicia, a level 100 Business Administration student of the University of Ghana, Legon was crowned miss international Ghana 2020 at the National Theatre of Ghana last Saturday.

It was a glamorous night for 11 delegates from various tertiary institutions who produced very sterling performances to the admiration of the judges and Audience.

Miss international Ghana is a street child oriented project initiated by Alpha project to support and give hope to the homeless children in the society.

The miss international Ghana delegates delivered and supported children in madina social welfare, participated in the National polio immunization at the Madina market with the Rotary Club of Accra Adjiringanor as part of activities supporting the vulnerable and marginalised street children.

The delegates were also exposed to leadership skills and Information Technology (IT) skills during the pre event activities.

Then came the much anticipated night at the National Theatre where delegates showcased insightful presentations on streetism, outstanding talents exhibition and their philosophy in life, among others.

All the delegates did their best that night but Felicia Amponsah Yeboah, a delegate from the University of Ghana emerged the winner of this year’s event.

Felicia walked home with a Cheque prize of GH5,000.00 and a ticket for an all expenses paid trip to Dubai kind courtesy of Empomart and Adansi Travels respectfully.

Belinda Obuabeng Cobbina of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) also emerged as the 1st runner up. She also walked home with Ghs 3,000.00 cheque prize from Edwom.com and a double door fridge from Festis company ltd.

Doreen Antwi of Ghana Telecom University also emerged the 2nd runner up and walked home with Ghs 2,000.00 cash prize sponsored by Edwom.com and another Ghs 1,000 from Compuville Systems.

The rest of the delegates got various consolation prizes such as home appliances, Bluetooth speakers to blenders and rice coolers, among others.

The event was attended by the past Queens of Miss International Ghana pageant.

Miriam Amo of Ghana Telecom University, who was Miss Personality for Miss International Ghana 2018 was also honored as a special ambassador for Alpha Promotion Youth Foundation with the task to help raise support for the Queen and carry out a special project that supports the foundations work of inpacting lives of the vulnerable and disadvantaged children in our society.
