The Management of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), wishes to inform the general public, especially consumers on the Akwapim Range and the eastern corridor close to Tema that, the current interruption of water supply in that area is due to a destruction of the main 24 inch (630 mm) High Density Polyethlene (HDPE) transmission pipe line, which serves the affected areas.
Management of GWCL therefore wishes to inform members of the general public as well as institutions or organisations within the affected areas to bear with the situation, while Engineers work around the clock to rectify the situation.
Communities that are likely to be affected include; Adukrom, Somanya, Akwapim Akropong, Mamfe, Aburi, Afienya, Katamanso, Gbetstele, Prampram, Dawhenya, Parts of Tema and surrounding Communities.
Management of GWCL wishes to assure the general public that GWCL Engineers are working assiduously to rectify the situation and water supply will be restored soon as repair works are completed.
