Are the Security Agents deliberately sleeping on the job in the Yendi general area?!

So, the National Investigations Bureau did not pick any leads about the movements of traditionalists and other locals from Yendi and adjoining areas to the BUGYALIGU NAA PALACE at Suson in the Yendi general area in the morning of Sunday 28th April 2024?

So, who authorised the enkinment of a chief at Suson without a proper security cover?

So, who authorised four Yendi Prisons officers without any weapons to provide security at the enskinment ceremony at Suson, which is located on the road to Chereponi, a very volatile and deadly security area.

Just drive 12 km on the Yendi-Gushegu road. At Sakpeligu, where the Customs and Immigration officials have their snap-check point, you branch off onto the dusty red-earth road that leads to Chereponi. Suson is located some 4km on the dusty red earth road.

Not satisfied with the curiously bizarre security or non-security arrangements at the enskinment ceremony, we drove back to Yendi to draw the attention of the Police to the security situation at Suson.

The Chief Inspector of Police (name withheld) said the Yendi Police had not received any communication that an enskinment ceremony was taking place at Suson. The Police wondered how and why Prisons officers should be in-charge of “policing” at such an event. The Chief Inspector of Police pledged to check with the Prisons Authorities whether some Prisons officers had been authorised to undertake any official assignment at Suson.

We went to the Yendi Prisons to report the presence of Prisons officers on “policing” duties at Suson. A senior Prisons officer (name withheld) checked the station dairy, and called the Deputy Director of the Yendi Prisons to inquire if any Prisons officers had been detailed to perform any official duties at Suson.

We continued to the Yendi Military FOB to find out whether the soldiers were aware of the bizarre security situation at Suson. The Military CSM (name withheld) said he was not aware of any enskinment ceremony in the Yendi general area.

The questions we asked for the attention of Security :
Chiefs in Tamale and Accra were:

(1). Are the Security Agents deliberately sleeping on the job in Yendi and its adjoining areas?

(2). Did some locals take advantage of the deliberate slumber of the Security Agents to organise a public gathering to enskin a chief without the knowledge of the Police?

(3) If the Yendi Police, Prisons and Military authorities were unaware of an event taking place in a volatile general area, can the ubiquitous National Investigation Bureau say they were also unaware?!

(4). What would have been the reaction of the Yendi Sscurity Agents if there had been violent, deadly attacks by rival factions at the enskinment ceremony at Suson?
