AriseGhana demands Arrest of Ken Ofori-Atta

...gives Akufo-Addo 48hours ultimatum to withdraw Killer Utility Tariffs...

Ghana is a CRIME SCENE, the whole government machinery including the Jubilee House now known as the Corruption Headquarters require forensic audit.

Most Ghanaians believe that the Finance Ministry and the Bank of Ghana must be immediately investigated for organised crime by EOCO and the Special Prosecutor.

State Investigative bodies must have their own independent budgets in order to independently investigate crime, so when EOCO through its head, COP Maame Tiwaa Addo Dankwa accepts money from organisations that are to be investigated, it further raises questions about COP Maame Tiwaa Addo Dankwa, who has become notorious for her role in some high profile coverups…

COP Maame Tiwaa Addo Dankwa will be remembered for her role in the Kidnapped Takoradi Girls saga, the Thieves of Staff Secret Tape of A-Plus and now her NAM-1 Nolle Prosequi declaration in her capacity as the EOCO boss.

Nolle prosequi is a Latin term which means that there would be no prosecution and it is filed to terminate pending criminal proceedings against an accused person. When it is filed in a case or stated by the Attorney-General during court proceedings, the accused person is discharged by the court.

The Bank of Ghana giving EOCO money, is considered by most Ghanaians as “bribe” because the Bank of Ghana and the Finance Ministry are expected by most Ghanaians to be investigated by EOCO and the Special Prosecutor.

The inappropriate Bank of Ghana-EOCO “bribe” is further fueling calls for the removal of the Governor of the Bank of Ghana and the Finance Minister to pave way for a forensic investigation to unravel potential corruption and criminal activities that underpin the failed monetary and fiscal policies that have collapsed Ghana’s Junk Economy and made the Cedi the worst currency in the world.

KEN OFORI-ATTA AND DR. ADDISON MUST GO BEFORE THERE CAN BE ANY MEANINGFUL INVESTIGATION AT THE BANK OF GHANA AND THE FINANCE MINISTRY.

The free fall of the Cedi and the excruciating hardships Ghanaians are suffering are to be further aggravated by the Killer Utility Tariffs that President Akufo-Addo intends to impose from September 2022.

It will be recalled that just before the 2020 elections President Akufo-Addo announced a Free Food, Free Electricity and Free Water package to cushion Ghanaians who he said were suffering under hardships compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

After being declared winner of the 2020 elections however, President Akufo-Addo imposed various new nuisance taxes aimed at retrieving the money given for the Free Electricity and Free Water given before the elections on top of a COVID-19 Tax and the E-LEVY.

It is therefore unconscionable that at the time that Ghanaians are suffering the most hardships ever and food inflation has gone so high that most Ghanaians cannot feed themselves, there is no Free Food, Free Water and Free Electricity from President Akufo-Addo but rather he is imposing a hike in Water and Electricity through the Killer Utility Tariffs announced by the PURC.

The AGI, TUC and the Minority in Parliament have called for the suspension of the Utility Tariff increases.

Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators; Ghanaians are expected to spontaneously take to the streets indefinitely, IF…

AriseGhana has given government a 48hours ultimatum to suspend the tariff adjustments or face the wrath of Arise Ghana and Ghanaians.

AriseGhana is demanding the immediate removal of Ken Ofori-Atta as Finance Minister by the President and also calling on Parliament to expedite action to pass a vote of censure on the Finance Minister if President Akufo-Addo refuses to bring to an end five years of fiscal recklessness, abuse of office, conflict of interest and above crass mismanagement of the Ghanaian Economy by Ken Ofori-Atta and his accomplices at the incompetent Economic Management Team.
