ASEPA takes on Justice Dotse on Election Petition

A Group of Civil Society Organizations led by the Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA), has filed a petition with the Office of the Chief Justice, Justice Anin Yeboah, calling for the exclusion of Justice Jones Dotse from all election-related hearings since he is being considered for the position of a Speaker of Parliament by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

ASEPA believes even though the issue still remains a rumour, it is enough to prejudice the learned Judge from making any independent determination of any election-related adjudication he may be part of.

ASEPA is asking the Chief Justice to consider their petition before impaneling judges to sit on both the Hohoe Injunction case and the Presidential Elections petition that has been brought before it by the NDC.
