Ashanti Region: Over 100 Aspirants pick nomination forms to contest in NDC parliamentary Primaries – Dr Amoakohene
The NDC opened nominations for both parliamentary and presidential primaries last week.
Ashanti Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Frank Amoakohene has disclosed that, over 100 candidates have picked nomination forms to contest for the various parliamentary seats in the Region.
The NDC opened nominations for both parliamentary and presidential primaries last week.
Consequently, Nominations were opened for 36 constituencies in the Ashanti Region while 11 constituencies were put on hold.
At the close of the nominations, about 110 individuals picked forms to contest for parliamentary primaries in the 36 constituencies.
The Ashanti regional Secretary made this known when asked at a TEIN program at AAMUSTED Kumasi Campus at Tanoso.
“The NDC is a very attractive and competitive political party now. The calibre of candidates showing interest in the parliamentary contest gave us the hope as a party for the going into 2024 elections.”
“We have very competent workforce to drive the victory agenda for 2024,” he stated.
