Asiedu-Nketia: Show Proof Mahama said he would Scrap Free SHS and I will Resign

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon Johnson Asiedu-Nketia, is daring the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to show proof of its claim that National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama, has said that he would crap the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy when voted back into power in 2020.

The astute politician did not end there. He has actually put his position as NDC scribe on the line, saying the moment such evidence is adduced to authenticate the claim by the NPP, he would resign from his position as General Secretary of the NDC.

Hon Asiedu-Nketia who clearly has what it takes to confront the NPP and deflate its vile propaganda, at any time, against the NDC and its leader, says he will not sit idle by and allow this well calculated mischief of the NPP to stand.

He said he would resign the moment that any one will be able to provide proof in any form to show that former President Mahama had ever said anywhere that his next government would scrap free SHS.

According to the seasoned politician, former President Mahama has never said what the NPP is attributing to him and that the party’s claim is a total fabrication orchestrated to court disaffection for the former President but that will fail.

“If President Akufo-Addo or any other Ghanaian can produce a recording; either pictorial or vocal recording of President Mahama saying that he will cancel free SHS when he comes to power and we test it as a genuine recording coming from the mouth of President Mahama, within 24 hours I’ll resign as the General Secretary of NDC. I’ve challenged them, let them bring it,” he said on PM Express on JoyNews.

Hon Asiedu Nketia, who is the longest serving General Secretary of the NDC, believes the non-performing Akufo-Addo-led NPP government is propagating lies to deter Ghanaians from voting the NDC flagbearer back to power in the 2020 general elections but said that agenda will fail because the good people of Ghana know better.
