Asofan branch of Assemblies of God Celebrates Children’s Day

Mrs. Comfort Aborhey, President of the Children’s Ministry of the Asofan Branch of the Assemblies of God church, has noted that the purpose of celebrating children’s day is to show what children have learnt over the past years.

She said children are the leaders of the future of the nation hence they must be trained well.

She said when children were taught on subjects that yield and guide them to perform well in their endeavours in life it reflects in their future.

She made these remarks to The New Independent in an exclusive interview at the Churche’s premises at Asofan in the Greater Accra region during the Children’s Day celebration of the Church.

She said the celebration is to teach and train children on the basis of word of God and also to prepare them for future encounters. She said the objectives of the celebration are to facilitate the learning and training of the children and to exhibit their talents.

She highlighted challenges facing children to include inadequate finance to support their activities in the church, among others, while calling on parents to advise their wards to become useful citizen for the nation.

The celebration is a yearly programme by the church to let children know more about teachings from the Bible and also have the knowledge of Christ.
