A Parliamentary Candidate Aspirant of the New Patriotic Party in the Asuogyaman Constituency in the Eastern Region, Paul Asare Ansah, on Wednesday won the hearts of the people of Akwamufie when he donated 400 pieces of roofing sheets and other building materials to support the community.

The donation is to support the community complete the roofing of a community centre they initiated some years ago.

Presenting the items, Ansah, who is also the Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Transport, said it is his priority to help improve the living conditions of the people of Asuogyaman.

Receiving the items, the Assemblyman for the Akwamufie Electoral Area, Stephen Acquah, who could not hide his excitement at the gesture thanked the aspirant for his continuous support to the Akwamufie community. He called on his people to empower Paul Asare Ansah to continue with his selfless service to the various communities and institutions to improve the living standards in the district as a whole.

The donated items amounting to GHC 23,000.00 include 20 packets of roofing sheets, 35 pieces of ridge cap, five pieces of rain gutter, 10 pieces of silicon, 16 boxes of roofing nails, one silicon gun,10 yards of felt and one box of four inches nail.

We gathered that the Member of Parliament for the area, Ampem Nyarko had earlier donated some 20 packets of roofing sheets costing be Ghc 17,000.00, however, this was inadequate to complete the project hence the appeal to Paul Ansah for further materials.
