The OccupyGhana leaders explained why they were missing from the Frontline of the Demonstration which they admitted was a replica of their “OccupyFlagStaffHouse” demonstration that gave birth to OccupyGhana.
Ace Ankoma narrated how many of the OccupyGhana folks met for the first time at the Afua Sutherland Children’s Park during the OccupyFlagStaffHouse demonstration.
Ace Ankoma linked the Land Looting by JUDGES and other high profile personalities, some of whom are members of OccupyGhana, to the illegal auction of Cars to JUDGES for which the Picketing of the Auditor General’s office was organised.
Ace Ankoma tried to limit the Land Looting and by extention the retrieval of State Lands to those acquired after the 1992 Constitution came into effect.
It will be recalled that Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo in 2006 paid GHc7000 for prime Cantonments State Land worth millions…
Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode also exchanged her low-cost Akweteyman Land for the prime Airport State Land acquired for the International Students Hostel.
Ace Ankoma listed Article 146 Petitions as one of the potent ways of seeking redress, restating their position that “the President in such Article 146 Petitions was only a post office address or conveyor belt and only had to comply”.
In the case of the Article 146 Petition brought against Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode, President John Evans Atta Mills was able to retrieve the Looted Lands from the Chief Justice and other Lawyers, Lawmakers and Policymakers who were fraudulently allocated the State Land. The retrieved Looted Land was used to construct the Foreign Affairs Head Office Complex.
In the case of the Article 146 Petition brought against Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo, however, President Akufo-Addo in breach of the Constitution refused to act on the Petition for two (2) years till she retired on her 70th birthday. Sophia Akuffo is shamelessly holding on to the Looted Land despite sitting in judgement of the Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey Ridge Bungalow Case and ruling against him.
Sampson Lardi Anyinenyi and his OccupyGhana friends have been aware of President Akufo-Addo’s refusal to act as the Conveyor Belt they claimed him to be, in the Sophia Akuffo Article 146 Petition and even more recently his refusal to act on the two (2) Jean Adukwei Mensa Article 146 Petitions pending before President Akufo-Addo.
The silence of Sampson Lardi Anyinenyi, Ace Ankoma and the rest of the OccupyGhana leaders on the Sophia Akuffo and Jean Adukwei Mensa Article 146 Petitions yet threatening the Auditor General with an Article 146 Petition presupposes that the Laws of Ghana are selective and the Justice Delivery System of Ghana requires urgent reform as it betrays the Hypocrisy and Dishonesty of the Ghanaian Media and Civil Society Organisations.
The Sophia Akuffo Article 146 Petition which the President and the Special Prosecutor have copies which is available to OccupyGhana and many other CSOs, Media personalities including Occupier Kweku Baako contains a long list of Land Looters in the appendices detailing the fraudulent allocations of State Lands, indicating the location of these lands, size, transaction dates, amounts involved and names of beneficiaries which can aid any investigation…
The only reason why retrieval of these State Lands and Bungalows has not happened is because of the diversity and profile of the Looters, many of whom are JUDGES, friends, family and business associates of the President, OccupyGhana and those expected to act or even talk about it.
The Cantonments Civil Aviation Land Loot is still underway as Samuel Abu Jinapor sheepishly looks on as officials of the Lands Commission collude with other thieves to steal the Prime State Lands and the Police investigation is only able to say who is not involved but cannot name the faceless developers stealing the State Land…
The Hypocrisy and Dishonesty of OccupyGhana, the President, Special Prosecutor and those claiming to be fighting against Corruption including the Auditor General is their inability to retrieve the Looted State Lands costing more than the cars they pretend to be angry about.
The fact that Judges and officers of the Courts are involved in the Land Looting makes the courts a no go area for seeking justice.
Ghana is supposedly broke, but in reality Ghana’s wealth, State Funds, State Assets including State Lands are being looted by a greedy few.
Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators; and will demand the retrieval or themselves go and lay siege on the Looted Lands removing the Looters in the not too distant future…

The organisers of the OccupyGhana Picketing have secured a FRIDAY MEETING WITH THE AUDITOR GENERAL, hopefully they will be able to blackmail him into acting..
But the question remains, when will the OccupyGhana folks go to the Finance Ministry and the Judicial Secretary’s office to put similar pressure on them for their role in the current mess?
