The National Chairman of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has charged members of the party to identify themselves with their branches and work hard for the party to recapture power in the 2020 general elections.
Speaking at a meeting organized by the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) at the Winneba Campus of the University of Education, the NDC National Chairman tasked the TEIN members to identify themselves with their respective constituencies and make themselves available at their branches.
Mr Ampofo stressed, that “the branch is the most important unit of the party structure. If you sit here and you say I am doing degree, I’m in the University, I’m a TEIN member or I’m in NDC and you are not known in your branch, then you will building castles in the air”.
The NDC Chairman told the students, that if any of them wish to be a District Chief Executive, a Member of Parliament or a Minister of State in future, then their starting point is their branches.
“Go back to your polling stations where you vote, go to meetings there and let them identify you there,” he reiterated.
