Baby Ansaba of the Punch Newspaper is dead

One of the most experienced political journalists in Ghana has died. The veteran journalist, Ebenezer Ato Sam, known by many people as Baby Ansaba died on Tuesday Morning at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital in Accra where he was receiving treatment.

He is reported to have died at the Emergency Centre of the hospital.

Baby Ansaba has worked with the Daily Graphic, the Free Press, and the Daily Guide newspapers. Until his death this morning, he was the Managing Editor of the New Punch newspaper and an active member of the Private Newspaper and Online Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG).

He hails from Ajumako Beseadze in the Central Region but was based at Kasoa in the Central Region at the time of his death.

He was 57 years.

He trained at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) and graduated in the year 1991.

The bereaved family is scheduled to hold a meeting soon after which details of his funeral would be announced to the public.
