“Bawumia has been a good apprentice and ready to become my successor” – Nana Addo

President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has eulogize his Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, describing him as a good apprentice who has qualified for the position of a President.

The President, said Dr. Bawumia is a man of intellect and integrity and has been an exemplary Vice President as Bawumia has immersed himself in the complexities of governance, learning from the from his experience and wisdom.

President Akufo-Addo, during his “thank you” tour in the Bono East region, said he is much concern of the person who will succeed him as the next President since there are a lot of developmental projects that needs to be completed by the next government.

“My successor is very important to me because he will continue the good works of the NPP government and help develop Ghana, help me and elect Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as my successor.

“Bawumia was a Deputy Governor at the Bank of Ghana before he joined me as my runner mate, he has worked with me during the 2008 elections, we couldn’t win that elections but he didn’t lost faith in the party and I also didn’t lost faith in him. We contested again during the 2012 elections and we lost that elections too.

The President continued, “God finally opened the way for us in the 2016 elections, I have worked with him for 16 years and I am yet to find a single fault with him. He is truthful, loyal, trustworthy, competent, and hardworking and he has Ghana at heart.

“He has been a good apprentice, he has learn a lot and has qualified to be a President of Ghana. He can and will continue the good works of the NPP to propel Ghana to greatness.” He said.
