Bawumia vows to address youth unemployment through digital economy

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has reaffirmed his commitment to addressing Ghana’s youth unemployment crisis. Speaking at a rally in Kpando, Volta Region, he outlined his ambitious plan to create one million jobs if elected as the country’s next president.

 

Bawumia’s approach centers on equipping young Ghanaians with essential digital skills to help them compete in the global job market, regardless of their educational background. He stressed that tackling youth unemployment is his top priority and that providing digital tools and knowledge is crucial to solving the issue.

“All the youth, we need jobs. I am going to give one million youths digital skills in Ghana. Everybody, even if you are a school dropout, we can give you digital skills,” Bawumia said.

He further highlighted the opportunities the digital economy offers, stating, “You will stay in Kpando and work in America, in Germany, in Japan, in the UK, and in the US. Work right from here with your digital skills.”
