‘Be objective, accurate in your reportage’-Pastor advices journalists

Very Rev. Appiah-Kusi Baffour, Sefwi Juaboso Priest of the Methodist Church Ghana, has admonished journalists to be objective and accurate in their reportage in the thriving for peace.

According to him, journalists should not rush to publish information that is inaccurate and could potentially escalate an already volatile situation in their haste to break a story.

Very Rev. Appiah-Kusi Baffour, who was speaking at the ‘Meet the Press” in Juaboso last Wednesday added that it is important for the media to seek permission before reporting on any issue.

“We always need peace in our communities. Journalists have a critical role to play especially on peace, therefore, I’ll urge all of you to adequately and accurately report on genuine issues”.
