Black Stars arrive in Abuja today ahead of highly-anticipated West Africa derby against Nigeria

Black Stars will arrive in Abuja on Monday morning for the return leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff against arch rivals Nigeria scheduled for Tuesday, March 29. The four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners will fly directly from Kumasi to Abuja for the decisive match at the Moshood Abiola National Sports Stadium.

The tie is now widely opened after the two West African giants played out a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their World Cup playoff in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last Friday night.

The return leg in Abuja will decide a place at the World Cup for one of the two powerful African nation with a lot at stake.

Otto Addo and his team will arrive in Abuja this morning before holding their official training session at the MKO Stadium later today.

Ghana had more of the possession and chances but proved sloppy in their finishing during the first leg in Kumasi.

Only twice did they test goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, who made a stop from a stinging shot by Issahaku Fatawu in the 33rd minute and then again in the 71st minute from Mohammed Kudus.

The first game ended goalless and any scoring draw will see Ghana qualify for the mundial with Nigeria needing a win to book their tickets in a Highly-anticipated game.

The game kicks off at 5pm.
